For those who are wondering, Reversal of Damage was seen at the Penny Arcade Expo. If I remember correctly, it's a smiting spell that works like Weapon of Vegeance. Basically, it's the smiting answer to RoF.
Theories:
Well of Silence is anti-shouts (and anti-chants).
Smoke Trap is a cheap Dust Trap -- without any damage.
Unnatural Pain ... Unnatural is a keyword for anti-spirit spells
Master of Magic ... pop culture reference. MoM is a Civ-like game well known amoung a certain breed of gamer. One of my all time favorite games, so I will be sad if this skill sucks.
Quote:
Swap - hmm, possible location swap skill? Trap stacks!
|
No. It will Swap with an ally, not an enemy. No skill has ever changed the location of an enemy.

Rage As One = win.
it looks like a few of those skills are dupes... every class seems to have them. in ele, for example: flame djinns haste, storm djinns haste. burning speed + windborne speed anyone? even sin has them, vultures wire, umbras refuge, disrupting dagger...
ill make an educated guess and say, 10 elites, 10 new skills, 5 dupes for each class lets see if im right

Soccer player. Infamous for headbutting another player during the last world cup.
There is a skill called "Vocal Minority".

Oh man, Enadiz Headbutt. I guess Izzy saw that Zidane Headbutt skill description pic on the forums and just had to have some fun with it lol. I bet the skill icon will be somewhat similar to that picture.

"The Power Is Yours"
Can anyone say Captain Planet
<begin catchy music>
"EARTH!"
"FIRE!"
"WIND!"
"WATER!"
"HEART!"
"Go Planet!"
"By your powers combined, I am Captain Planet!"
Captain Planet, he's our hero
Gonna take pollution down to zero
He's our powers magnified
And he's fighting on the planet's side
Captain Planet, he's our hero
Gonna take pollution down to zero
Gonna help him put asunder
Bad guys who like to loot and plunder
"You'll pay for this Captain Planet!"
We're the Planeteers
You can be one too
'Cause saving our planet is the thing to do!
Looting and polluting is not the way
Hear what Captain Planet has to say!
"The Power is Yours!"
<end catchy music>

I thought most people here were far too young to remember Capt Planet. :-)
I'm also wondering about the dupes. They said there is 350 new skills in the game and the list shows 25skills per prof. That's 8x25=200 + 75 for each of the new profs = 350. When they were introducing Factions they said 300 new skills 6x25 for cores, and 2x75 for Sin/Rit. The dupes were over the announced 300 mark. Altogether the new skills were 330. So... what I am basically getting at is that if they announced 350 new skills, than it is highly unlikely that the dupes are part of that announced number. So maybe, just maybe (and hopefully) there is no dupes this time.

Two new minions for the MM.
"Jagged Horror" - Anyone using melee attackes gets xx damage?
"Shambling Horror" - Big brute minion with high damage attacks and slow attack speed?
Necro is my favorite profession. Even more so now.

Oh well, we'll see tomorrow.

I am guessing here, but they have said that there are 350 new skills in Nightfall. 25 new ones for old professions (8) = 200 plus 75 each for dervish and paragon = 350. If they throw in 5 duplicates like last time, it would be nice. I'm really hoping for a duplicated Rodgort's Invocation.
EDIT: Unfortunately, I don't know if the math will work out, because during the PvP preview, they only had 59 skills each for dervish and paragon.

No I think it ends Paragon Shouts, Chants, and, Echo's. People wanted a skill that disabled a shout well there it is.

Again, dupes werent included in the original count for Factions. They are not technically "new" skills, they are copies of old skills. Factions had 330 skills with the dupes, not the announced 300. So ANet doesnt seem to count dupes towards number of new skills, which is only fair.

Silence is a key word for anti-caster, not anti-shout. i dont think there will be any shout counters but it's possible.
